چکیده
1 INTRODUCTION This report is a survey of the literature about the topic " Collaborative P2P Systems ". In the remaining part of the report first, collaborative P2P systems with examples will be explained. Second, brief information about JXTA will be provided. Last, summary of research papers related with collaborative P2P systems will be given. P2P systems provide adaptation, self-organization, fault tolerance and massively distribution and replication of large amount of resources. According to [1], while using these benefits, collaborative P2P systems furthermore aim to allow application-level collaboration among its users. Collaborative P2P systems are generally event-based applications that a group of users use. When a change occurs at a peer, an event in that peer is triggered and the data produced by this event is sent to all the peers in that group. Upon receiving information regarding to an event, receiving peer's view of the application is updated accordingly. In order to satisfy the needs of collaborative P2P systems the authors of [1] state that the developed applications should support real-time communication, quality of service, security, reliability and the location of peers should be known. Example of application level collaboration includes chat applications, online games and shared applications used in business, education, etc… One of the most famous collaborative P2P applications is Groove. Next section discusses an overview of Groove. Groove is a collaborative P2P application that allows its users to communicate, share their contents and allows them to participate in joint activities. Groove allows its users to collaborate

P2P Network Trust Management Survey
Peer-to-peer applications (P2P) are no longer limited to home users, and start being accepted in academic and corporate environments. While file sharing and instant messaging applications are the most traditional examples, they are no longer the only ones benefiting from the potential advantages of P2P networks. For example, network file storage, data transmission, distributed computing, and co...
متن کاملDisTriB: Distributed Trust Management Model Based on Gossip Learning and Bayesian Networks in Collaborative Computing Systems
The interactions among peers in Peer-to-Peer systems as a distributed collaborative system are based on asynchronous and unreliable communications. Trust is an essential and facilitating component in these interactions specially in such uncertain environments. Various attacks are possible due to large-scale nature and openness of these systems that affects the trust. Peers has not enough inform...

متن کاملCollaborative Applications over Peer-to-Peer Systems - Challenges and Solutions
Emerging collaborative Peer-to-Peer (P2P) systems require discovery and utilization of diverse, multiattribute, distributed, and dynamic groups of resources to achieve greater tasks beyond conventional file and processor cycle sharing. Collaborations involving application specific resources and dynamic quality of service goals are stressing current P2P architectures. Salient features and desira...
متن کاملAn Undo Framework for P2P Collaborative Editing
Existing Peer to Peer (P2P) collaborative editing systems do not allow any user to undo any modification. However, in such systems, users are not aware of others’ modifications, hence, they could obtain duplicate work, conflicting modifications or malicious contents. In this paper, we propose a new undo framework called “UNO: Undo as a New Operation” in the Operational Transformation approach w...
